GUARD is setting agnostic by design. It doesn't tell you what your world should look like, what characters you should play, or what stories you should tell. Instead, it provides a simple framework for resolving actions, handling danger, and making combat feel tense, dynamic, and meaningful.

The rules are light enough to learn in a few minutes, but offer enough depth and nuance to engage a party of experienced TTRPG players. GUARD gives you a small set of flexible mechanics that can be applied creatively to almost any situation. Your characters are defined b their backstory, gear, and only two statistics; their Defence and their Control - measures of how much they can take a hit, or avoid one.
